How to Apply

1. Potty-Training
   • The child must be fully potty-trained. No pull-ups or nap-time diapers are allowed
2. Age
   • The child must be the appropriate age by August 31st of the school year you are applying.
     • Preschool (3 years old by 8/31)
     • Pre-Kindergarten (4 years old by 8/31)
3. Application Fee
   • The fee accompanying this application is non-refundable, even if a child is not admitted to Cedar Crest Academy.
4. Teacher Recommendation Form 
   • If this is your child's first experience in a childcare setting, we request that a caregiver or friend completes the Teacher Recommendation Form

1. Age Requirement: Your child must be the appropriate age by August 31st of the school year you are applying for:

   • Kindergarten: 5 years old
   • First Grade: 6 years old
   • Second Grade: 7 years old
   • Third Grade: 8 years old
   • Fourth Grade: 9 years old
   • Fifth Grade: 10 years old
2. Application Fee
   • A non-refundable fee must accompany your application, regardless of admission decision.
3. Teacher Recommendation Form
   • This form is required for all elementary applicants and must be completed by the child's current teacher.
4. Upload Progress Reports/Report Cards (1st - 5th grade only)
   • Please delegate this step to your child's current school so your school admissions office or registrar can upload the documents directly to Ravenna. 
5. Elementary Entrance Assessment (K-5 only)
   • K-5 applicants will participate in a visit day that includes an academic assessment to ensure a good fit with our program.

Step 1: Visit

Visit one of our four campuses and experience our school culture, programming, and community first-hand. During your visit, our main aim is to help you imagine your child as part of our school community and provide you with a realistic view of our everyday student life. Families can choose to participate in a tour, open house, or both to gain a better understanding of our program structure.

How to Register: Families may register for an admissions event using Ravenna Hub, our web-based application platform. Please note that you must create an account to register for events.

Step 2: Apply

To apply to Cedar Crest Academy, please follow these steps using the Ravenna Hub, our exclusive application platform. This tool allows families to easily track and manage their application progress.

1. Create an Account: Click HERE to create your account. Fill in your family's and student's background information.

2. Locate Cedar Crest Academy: Once your account is set up, use the School Directory to find Cedar Crest Academy and initiate the application process. Please note that applications are organized by campus and program, so it’s essential to select the correct one for your preferred campus.

• Progress Reports/Report Cards for 1st-5th grade applicants only.

Important Notes

• Applications will not be reviewed until all required information is received.
• Assessments are only for K-5th grade applicants and will be scheduled after the application deadline.
• Please submit one application per student.
• Applications are not considered in the order received; all applications are placed in a general pool for selection.
• We cannot guarantee admission to a specific campus. If your first choice is unavailable, please indicate your openness to other locations on your application.
• Application fees are non-refundable and remain the same regardless of the number of campuses you wish to apply to.

Step 3: Confirmation

After completing all the necessary application steps, we will immediately update your Ravenna account to confirm receipt and begin the review process.

Step 4: Assessments

At Cedar Crest Academy, assessments are required exclusively for elementary applicants (Kindergarten through Fifth Grade).

After reviewing applications, our admissions team will reach out to you between mid-February and early March to schedule your child's assessment. During the visit, your child will be evaluated on key subjects and concepts relevant to their grade level. This evaluation is essential for ensuring a smooth transition as they begin their educational journey at Cedar Crest Academy.

Step 5: Acceptance

Upon completion of the application review, families will be notified via Ravenna or sent an email notification of whether we can accommodate your child during the school year for which you have applied. 

Notifications will be sent out on or before Friday, February 28th, 2025.
