Keeping this in mind, it is of utmost importance that we teach cultural competence and empathy at a young age to instill a community-oriented mindset that makes all students, staff, and family members feel safe.  

As a school, we believe that we must reflect and model the characteristics and mindsets that we teach to our students. Cedar Crest expects all faculty, staff, and families to demonstrate the Ten Pillars of Character Education that we strongly emphasize throughout the year.
