Initial Phone Screening

Pre-Primary Teaching Positions

Position: Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten Teachers

Cedar Crest Academy is a progressive educational program actively seeking an enthusiastic, imaginative, and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten & Preschool Teachers at one of our four campus across the eastside of King County.

As a Pre-Kindergarten or Preschool Teacher at Cedar Crest Academy, you will collaborate with a fellow co-teacher in small classes of 20 students or fewer. Your working hours will vary from 8 am to 6 pm, including responsibilities for both before and after-care.

Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of consistent teaching experience in a classroom setting
BA, AA in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred for teaching staff
Proof of progress towards relevant WA ECE certificates
Ability to lift 40 lbs, kneel, crouch, and sit on the floor comfortably
Ability to meet WA state licensing requirements: CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers, Blood Borne Pathogens, Proof of MMR & TB, 30 hrs. basic training/10 hrs. yearly
Experience with Microsoft products, email, child tracking platforms, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong classroom management and organizational skills

Elementary Teaching Positions

Position: Kindergarten Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kindergarten Assistant to support our Kindergarten teacher at the Park Highland campus and provide a nurturing learning environment for our young students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and have excellent communication and classroom management skills.

As a Kindergarten Assistant, you will support the lead teacher by preparing classroom materials, setting up learning activities, and maintaining an engaging environment. You will supervise and interact with students during classroom activities, recess, and lunch to ensure their safety and positive social interactions. You'll assist with implementing lesson plans, provide one-on-one or small-group support, and help manage classroom behavior. Effective communication with the lead teacher, students, and parents is essential, along with performing routine administrative tasks like attendance and report preparation.

Cedar Crest is seeking a reliable and attentive Lunch Supervisor to join our team at the Bellewood campus. The primary responsibilities include assisting with lunch service, distributing food, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring a calm, respectful, and pleasant atmosphere among students during lunchtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup and distribution of lunch items to students.
Monitor students during lunch to ensure orderly conduct and adherence to school rules.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area before, during, and after lunch.
Foster a positive and respectful environment among students.
Collaborate with the campus chefs as need be to ensure that each lunch session goes smoothly

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to interact effectively with children and maintain a positive demeanor.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.
